Thaifex – World of Food Asia, the successful Thai-German joint venture of Koelnmesse GmbH, the Department of Export Promotion and the Thai Chamber of Commerce is preparing for its third edition:

Thaifex – World of Food Asia 2006 will take place in May 17 – 21 in Bangkok.

As a retrospect, Thaifex - World of Food Asia 2005, that is show casing all related food sectors by its 5 pillars, attracted a total of 855 exhibiting companies from 32 countries under one roof. They occupied exhibition space measuring 42,000 m² in all.

The show once more sharpened its profile as the central platform for the food and beverage business in South-East-Asia. The international range of the trade visitors is an indication of the increasing prestige and attractiveness of the trade fair in the entire southeast Asian region. Buyers from 97 countries travelled to Bangkok to attend Thaifex - World of Food Asia, with the largest contingents coming from Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, the U.S. and the Middle East. Visitors from Vietnam, the Philippines, Laos, Cambodia and Indonesia were also on hand.
