The second Sweets China – powered by ISM posted a significant increase in the number of exhibitors. At 207 suppliers from 25 countries, the figure was nearly 25 percent higher than at the premiere event in 2004. And the gross exhibition space at Sweets China grew as well, rising by 40 percent to 10,000 sqm.

The fair was attended by 7,209 trade visitors from 48 countries, with 21 percent of the visitors coming from abroad.

Being supported by a strong international network, Sweets China 2006 will once more be the leading platform for the sweet and confectionery industry: AIDI, the Italian Association of the Confectionery Industry, will organize the Italian group participation; the German participation will be organized by German Sweets, the German Association for the promotion of Chocolate, Confectionery, Biscuits, Snacks and Ice-Cream exports; NCA, the National Confectioners Association, will organize the US participation; OSEC, the Business Network Switzerland, will organise the Swiss Pavilion; the Netherlands will be presented by the Ministry of Agriculture.
