The Agricultural sector in Syria has always played an important role in this growing country especially at the economic and social levels. This is reflected in the high contribution of this sector to the GDP and to the local employment market. It also indicates the sustainable need to promote the technologies used in this sector particularly after signing the EU – Syria Association Agreement.

For these reasons, Allied Expo and IFW Expo, with the cooperation of Damascus Agriculture Chamber are organizing the Syrian International Agro, Food Processing & Packaging Technologies Exhibition "SYRIAFT 2005" aiming at showcasing the Syrian and International products in the fields of; agriculture, poultry, animals, food processing, packaging, dairy products, beverage and brewery products, in addition to highlighting the latest technological advances exhibited by the major international players in the above fields.

The marketing & PR campaign that will accompany this event at both local and international levels will also aim at attracting the widest base of specialist visitors in an attempt to create new business opportunities to the exhibitors of SYRIAFT.

Admission to the exhibition is strictly controlled, and is by invitation only for trade visitors for the first three days. Public will be admitted on the last two days of the exhibition. No children under the age of 16 will be admitted. Entry to the Exhibition is free.

All Exhibitors / Visitors must register on arrival at the exhibition. Registration cards must be completed prior to entry after presenting the business card. Invitation cards may be obtained from the Organizers office or from any exhibiting company. Admission badges will be issued and must be worn at all time for security purposes. Re-entry can be made without further registration provided that the assigned badges are worn.
