The Group is the leader in Italy in the production of beef and meat-based transformed products (INALCA S.p.a.) as well as the leader in Italy in the distribution of food to the catering sector (MARR s.p.a.),. It is also amongst one of the most important Italian cured meat producers (MONTANA ALIMENTARI S.p.a.).
Furthermore it has a significant presence in the restaurant services sector and leadership in Italy in catering services on-board trains and in railway stations (CHEF EXPRESS).
Today, the Cremonini Group is at the forefront in technological innovation and in the standard of quality of its products and services. All the principal Group companies are, in fact, certified UNI EN ISO 9002; the official brand that is recognised world-wide.
In 2004, total consolidated revenues for the Group were 1,993.1 million euros, an increase of 11.6% over the 2003 figure of 1,786.2 million euros.
Gross operating margin (EBITDA) was 125.1 million euros, an increase of 6.3% (against 117.7 million euros in 2003), whereas operating profit (EBIT) rose by 13.0% to 69.8 million euros (compared to 61.8 million euros in 2003).
